Washington, DC, is a vibrant city and international hub. SACC-DC works at the crossroads between politics and business and is part of a dynamic team at the House of Sweden at the Georgetown waterfront. We share facilities with the Swedish Embassy, SACC USA, and several Swedish companies.
After completing the internship at SACC DC, the intern will have gained hands-on experience and established a broad network to further their international careers.

The Lars Bjerde Memorial Fund Internship is a prestigious 12-month, full-time program established in memory of Lars Bjerde, former VP of SAAB North America and one of the founding members of SACC-DC. This internship offers a unique two-phase structure: the first phase is a 6-month full-time position at SACC-DC, followed by the second phase, which involves 6 months of part-time work split between SACC-DC and one of its member companies. This structure allows interns to gain invaluable experience across both the non-profit and commercial sectors during their year in Washington, D.C. Previous interns have been placed with leading companies such as Volvo Cars, AstraZeneca, Axis Communications, SAAB North America, Skanska, and Pillsbury Law.
After completing their 12-month internships at SACC-DC, they have gained invaluable experience and established an extensive network to further their international careers, both in Sweden and abroad.
