SACC-DC is seeking a part-time Executive Director to lead our organization. This role requires a commitment of 20 hours per week and offers a unique leadership opportunity to shape and advance the Chamber’s strategic vision. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and adaptable professional with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in working with senior-level corporate and government stakeholders is essential, as is an interest in mentoring and guiding our trainees. As a strategic and hands-on leader, the Executive Director will oversee the daily operations of the SACC-DC office and work closely with the Board of Directors to support the Chamber’s continued growth and impact.
About the Organization
Established in 1989, the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of Washington, D.C. (SACC-DC) is a non-profit organization committed to fostering strong business ties between Sweden and the United States. As part of the broader SACC-USA network, we play a key role in promoting trade, investment, and commercial collaboration throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region. With a diverse membership of approximately 120 companies and individuals spanning various industries, SACC-DC serves as a dynamic platform for business development, networking, and transatlantic cooperation.

Primary Responsibilities
Office & Financial Management: Oversee daily operations, bookkeeping, and budgeting.
Membership & Events: Grow and retain members; plan key events like the Crayfish Party, Golf Tournament, and Nordic Innovation Forum.
Embassy & Board Relations: Coordinate with the Swedish Embassy and support the 22-member board with meetings and communication.
Committee Support: Assist the work of the Golf, Membership, Program, and Finance committees.
Team Leadership: Manage the office and mentor 2–3 Swedish trainees annually.
SACC-USA Engagement: Collaborate on national events such as the Executive Forum and SACC Summit.
Qualifications
Leadership and supervisory experience of young professionals preferred
Clear verbal and written communications
Ability to implement the annual Business Plan and
Proficient in Microsoft Office for reporting and presentations
Knowledge of QuickBooks and financial planning a plus
Must have U.S. employment authorization
Familiarity with Swedish culture and language is beneficial
